spare wheel location?

not had van long and a bit puzzled as to why my spare wheel is mounted in the rear over the inner n/s wheel arch ??
other seem to have them slung underneath..

anyone know why ???

if the spare wheel is inside it propably means it is rear wheel drive front wheel drives are underneath

Compact Vito, spare stored inside due to lack of room under rear. Long and extra long have spare under rear, just in front of rear bumper.

My spare is under the rear floor on a drop down hanger. Have a look under the back
