w639 vito ABS and traction control warning lights

I have an 04 vito 639. It failed it's mot because of the abs and traction control lights being on, the garage told me it had a wiring problem and needed an auto electrician, I immediately panicked! However after some digging on the internet I found this is common and the way to fix it is to replace the brake switch (on the pedal, under the plastics below the dash) it cost 17.50 from my local bells trucks and it sorted it straight away! Just thought I would share this useful info with everyone, please let me know if it does :-)
