Looking for help

Hi first post here,

I have just bought my first vito 111cdi which needs a little tlc. I have purchased a new gear gator but can't get the knob off. I have removed the old one and realeased the 2 x clips at the side of the shaft for the reverse lift. What should i do now i can't see any screws, it wont turn or pull off? Any advise would be greatly appreciate as i am driving around with the workings exposed.

I have same problem. Can,t get gear knob off. Did you or anyone else manage to do this. There is nothing on line or in WIS manual. I'll give a free copy of the wis / asra cd's to anyone that can come up with the answer !!! (vito 639 111 cdi)
